Meet your Judges

Abbey Clancy

TV presenter, model, fashion designer, author, Strictly Come Dancing winner and mum of two – Abbey Clancy has come a long way since she first burst into the public conscience in 2004. From high-end fashion modelling, to high street clothing ranges, Abbey has successfully established herself as far more than just a pretty face

After coming runner-up in series 2 of BNTM, Abbey knows what it takes to survive the competition and how to impress on photoshoots, fashion challenges and catwalks. She is excited to be returning as head judge on Britain’s Next Top Model.

Abbey’s own modelling career has seen her front an international Umbro advertising campaign, as well as Avon and Reebok. She has featured in fashion shoots for magazines from Love to Sports Illustrated, Russian Vogue to Glamour.  Abbey has also walked in Giles Deacon’s Spring/Summer 2011 show at September’s London Fashion Week and for Agent Provocateur. She additionally models and shoots for high-end editorial, with the likes of Rankin, Solve Sundsbo and Damon Baker.

Furthermore, 2016 saw Abbey playing a cameo in the massively successful film Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie and also saw the publication of her first novel Remember My Name. Abbey certainly has a thing or two to teach our girls – who does she thinks will follow in her footsteps?

Nicky Johnston

Nicky Johnston is one of the UK’s best known celebrity portrait photographers. His images regularly grace the pages of leading publications from glossy monthlies, such as Good Housekeeping, to weeklies, including Weekend, OK, Heat and Hello! Magazine.

Nicky has over 25 years’ experience in the industry, starting off his career at the BBC as a staff photographer – working on shows like Top of the Pops and Blue Peter.

Nicky’s work has taken him all over the world, shooting celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Lindsay Lohan and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini for a host of high-profile magazines, TV companies and PR agencies. The last couple of years have seen Nicky return to shooting more fashion – which he is thoroughly enjoying!

Having worked as a photographer on every series of Britain’s Next Top Model since its creation in 2003, last year Nicky joined the judging panel. His tough-talking approach and witty one-liners made him a popular expert with the girls, his fellow judges and the audience.

Inspired by the success of last year’s winner Olivia Wardell, Nicky is eager to find another up-and-coming model to fly the flag of Britain’s Next Top Model: ‘This show is very close to my heart and I want to find another girl worthy of winning such a prestigious title. Anyone failing to deliver their very best will see me get ragey (cue the evil cackle)’
